Novaria Group Acquires ESNA From Maclean-Fogg

Novaria expands ESNA brand to include complementary aerospace and defense fastener products; North Texas facility re-named ESNA

FORT WORTH, Texas – April 5, 2016 – Fort Worth-based Novaria Group announces today the acquisition of substantially all the assets of ESNA, Elastic Stop Nut Corporation of America, (formerly MacLean ESNA), an industry-leading manufacturer of nylon insert and all metal fasteners, from MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions. The ESNA brand will immediately expand to include complementary aerospace products such as tight tolerance bushings, mechanical standards, fluid fittings, machined products, and other internally threaded fasteners. ESNA will continue manufacturing operations in both Pocahontas, Arkansas and North Richland Hills, Texas (formerly Fitz Aerospace).

“ESNA’s capabilities further enhance and diversify our position in the aerospace fastener market,” said Bryan Perkins, co-CEO and president of Novaria Group. “ESNA’s reputation for excellent quality, uniquely diverse products, and brand strength are complimentary additions to Novaria’s growing family of threaded fasteners, fittings, and fatigue reduction solutions such as bushings and spacers.”

ESNA has been a dependable source for nylon insert nuts and a variety of structural internally threaded fasteners for the commercial aerospace, military ground, and navy nuclear markets. With production dating back to the 1920s, ESNA’s trademarked red-ring products have been synonymous with high quality and reliable fasteners for mission-critical applications. ESNA’s “Red Ring of Reliability™” has been a product brand customers have trusted for generations. ESNA has grown to manufacture certified aerospace and defense products that currently include nylon cap nuts, spline nuts, nut plates, all metallic nuts, clip nuts, 12-point engine nuts, shear nuts, tight tolerance bushings, and fluid fittings. These products use high-strength aerospace and defense-grade alloys such as Monel®, stainless steel, titanium, Inconel®, aluminum-nickel bronze, torlon, and a variety of other specialty materials.

ESNA’s trademarked and customer-certified products serve as a logical and complementary addition to Novaria’s growing business. Earl Larkin, Novaria executive vice chairman and co-CEO stated, “ESNA will operate within Novaria Fastening Systems, led by Monty Gillespie, Novaria Fastening Systems president. Both ESNA’s Arkansas and Texas facilities will be led by current ESNA general manager, Dave Merwitz. We are proud to be owners of the ESNA brand and to continue the expanded supply of its reliable products.”

Dave Lomasney, president, fastener components for MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions commented on the transaction, “We believe this is the right long-term strategic move for ESNA and that Novaria’s reputation and approach to the aerospace market will support the next phases of ESNA’s growth and customer approvals.”

ESNA operates in a total of a combined 250,000 sq. ft. in Pocahontas, Arkansas and North Richland Hills, Texas. The company has more than 200 employees and was founded in 1927. Gillespie commented on the plan for operations, saying, “We will immediately assess the opportunities for continued expansion and of the business. As with our current operations, we will take a deliberate approach to improving performance to exceed customer expectations.”
